Transitional Dressing for a Rainy Date Night

You should always be you. The goal is to elevate your personal style. Today’s post is a breakout of what I wore this Sunday on a surprise rainy, chilly date night.

Rainy Date Night

So, it’s a rainy Sunday and the temp has just dropped to the upper 50s. My husband says, ”let’s go someplace nice for dinner”. I have on leggings and a comfy shirt and my hair up in a “salon appointment in 2 days” messy bun. So what do I do? I pulled out a few things that I hadn’t worn yet, with some tried and true comfy favorites. I bet you can do the same in your closet.

This amazing top is actually a dress from Asos Curve. It is a wrap dress and is one of my new favorites. I have been waiting for the weather to break, just so that I could break it out.

The weather was a bit too cool and wet for the dress on its own, so I paired it with these shiny black sports leggings from Academy Sports. The mesh insert and sporty ribbing adds some fashionista to the comfy athleisure look. You can find them here.

I have on a simple black Tshirt from Target . I have multiples in every color they have. At only $8, they wash well and the fit stays the same wash after wash. Most stores carry them, but you can also get them online.

The Shoes…The Shoes… The shooooeeesssss!!!!!

Who wants their toes out in the rain? It wasn’t cold enough for boots yet, so I wore the Nike Air Max 1 in liquid silver.

I had these on my Pintrest board for years, and to say these shoes are stunning doesn’t do them justice. They are so comfy (because they actually are sneakers), but they also have that super cool vibe. I finally found them at Stadium Goods and here’s a link to them.

I wasn’t going to list the bag, but who doesn’t love Louis Vuitton. This one is the Montaigne. Everyone knows the Speedy and the Neverful, but I am a bit past those these days. This was a major purchase for me, but the canvas is all-weather friendly, and it is my go to bag, that matches everything. It is linked here.
